Back to homeSAFETY AND TRUST

Care that welcomes.
Clarity that protects.

Explore Lumi's protection commitments, how this website uses your data and the limits of the support offered.

PRIVACY FROM THE START

Protection is part
of caring.

Privacy guides Lumi's development. This means considering why data is needed, limiting access and explaining how information is handled before you use each feature.

Protecting information

Lumi includes encryption in its security commitments to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to data and conversations.

Infrastructure care

Continuous monitoring is a stated commitment to identify suspicious activity and support platform stability.

Limited access

Access controls aim to restrict information processing to authorized systems and people, according to each activity's needs.

Transparency about the project's stage. These commitments relate to the app in development. Protection and access details for each feature should accompany its release.

RESPONSIBLE SUPPORT

Understanding the limits
is care too.

You deserve to know what kind of support you are exploring and what to expect from each experience.

A space to talk

The app aims to connect people with prepared volunteers who listen and provide tools to notice and record emotions. Listening depends on network availability.

Human support

Supporting professional care

Lumi does not diagnose, prescribe medication or replace psychotherapy or medical care. Website experiences are not support sessions.

Clear boundaries
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Clarity about who is responding.

Lumi's published proposal includes AI support when no volunteer is available. AI can make mistakes and is not a health professional; its responses should not be treated as a diagnosis or clinical guidance.

This website has no AI conversation or live support. The Home conversation is a fictional script. Before an AI feature is released in the app, its use should be identified and its limits and data processing explained.

WHAT HAPPENS HERE

Your data, explained simply.

A practical overview of how this presentation website works.

01

Demos

Emotion and shortcut choices stay in page memory and disappear when you reload. Conversations and journal entries are fictional. These features do not collect personal stories.

02

Waitlist

Your name, email and consent are sent to Brevo when you submit the form. Confirmation appears here after the service confirms receipt. Signing up does not create an app account or guarantee support.

03

Shareable cards

The PNG is generated on your device. You choose whether to download or share it; nothing is automatically posted to your social accounts.

04

Browsing preferences

Your theme and language choice are saved in this browser. This implementation has no advertising or analytics tools. Hosting may keep technical access logs.

FEEL FREE TO ASK

More clarity.
More trust.

Information to explore our approach at your own pace.

Am I talking to someone in the demo?

No. The messages are an illustrative script, with no connection to volunteers or AI. You can explore the steps to understand the listening experience.

Who will be able to access my journal in the app?

Access, storage and deletion rules must be presented in the app's policy before use. On this website, the journal only shows fictional examples and does not accept personal text.

What if no volunteer is available?

Availability depends on the listening network. The proposal includes AI features with their own identification and boundaries. This does not guarantee immediate support or replace emergency services.

How do I stop receiving updates?

Use the unsubscribe link in messages or request deletion by emailing contato@joinlumi.org. You do not need to share personal stories to make this request.

WHEN IT CANNOT WAIT

Lumi is not an emergency service.

In an immediate-risk situation, contact an emergency service in your area. Do not wait for a response from this website or platform.
